In the northern part of Begur, we find a beautiful coastal path that connects Sa Riera beach with Platja del Racó. This route follows the coast, starting from Sa Riera. If we stand on the beach facing the sea, on the left we will find some stairs that mark the beginning of the path. The path is relatively easy, with some stairs in certain sections. First we reach the impressive Cala de la Illa Roja and, finally, we reach the quiet Platja del Racó.

In the heart of Begur, you will find this spectacular path that connects the coves of Sa Tuna and Aiguafreda. It is a path that alternates sections of flat path with others with stairs. The landscape that surrounds this path is impressive, with spectacular views of the coast. As with many other paths, access begins from one side, where you can already see the stairs that guide the path.
BEGUR SOUTH Coastal Path
Aiguablava – Fornells – Platja Fonda – Fornells – Aiguablava

In the southern part, we find a spectacular coastal path that links the magnificent beaches of Aiguablava, Fornells and Platja Fonda. This path is a route of great beauty and allows you to explore some of the most wonderful corners of the Begur coastline. If we start from Aiguablava, we will see the path on our left, looking out to sea. First we will reach the various coves of Fornells and, finally, we will reach the quiet Platja Fonda, a virgin cove of great beauty.
A prominent feature of Begur are its coastal paths and the coves that accompany them. These paths, which run along the coast, have had multiple uses over time, such as allowing access to coves in the event of a shipwreck, monitoring the horizon to prevent pirate attacks, or even facilitating smuggling during the post-war period.
